SOH Cranial Solutions is a specialized provider of Durable Medical Equipment (DME), specifically non-invasive, medical-grade cranial prostheses. We collaborate with physicians, dermatologists, oncologists, and VA Medical Centers to support patients experiencing medically related hair loss due to documented clinical conditions.

Common indications supported include:

  • Chemotherapy and radiation treatment (ICD-10: Z51.11)
  • Alopecia Areata, Totalis, and Universalis (ICD-10: L63.0)
  • Trichotillomania and scarring alopecia
  • Burn injury and trauma recovery

All services are provided based on physician referral and medical documentation where required.

Referral & Documentation Requirements

To facilitate patient reimbursement or VA procurement, the following documentation is typically required:

  • Prescription stating: “Cranial Prosthesis for Medical Necessity”
  • Diagnosis including a valid ICD-10 code
  • Supporting medical records or clinical notes, when applicable
